Christos Is Reminiscent of an Island Taverna

CHRISTOS GREEK RESTAURANT (26-32 Nicollet Avenue, Minneapolis; 61-2-871-2111), owned by Gus Parpas, features classic Greek cuisine, which is augmented by a wood-fired oven that makes it possible to feature very tasty Greek-inspired pizzas, besides all the Greek food it serves. All in all, Christos is a full-service restaurant that can meet all standards. The original Christos, opened in 1988, is a spacious, airy restaurant reminiscent of an island taverna. Zagat says: Fans say “you can’t go wrong” with the “real food with real character” dished up and “served with flair” at these mid-priced Greek standards.
