ASTORIA, NY, September 30, 2024—New York Greek Film Expo, presented by Hellenic Film Society USA

Hosted by award-winning Greek Actor Thanos Tokakis one of Greece’s most prolific character actors, the Expo features screenings of the latest films from Greece at three theaters in the New York metro area. The Expo features 13 screenings of nine highly acclaimed Greek films, and one short. Tokakis will kick off the festivities on opening night. HFS will honor award-winning Greek actress Vangelio Andreadaki, as she accepts the organization’s first-ever Lifetime Achievement Award. In a career spanning more than four decades, she has embraced a wide range of roles, bringing her characters to life through memorable performances, including in Eyes of Night (2008), The Building Manager (2010), and SMAC, which earned her the 2019 Hellenic Film Academy Award for Best Actress.

in each man’s psyche. Immediately following, director Haris Vafeiadis and lead actor will Tokakis
