The concept for Pan Gregorian was formed in 1983 in New Jersey by several large diner owners who envisioned leveraging their substantial purchasing power. They aimed to establish contracts with manufacturers and distributors for their benefit. This progressive strategy led to the group’s growth as others recognized the benefits of collective membership, embodying the philosophy of ”There is Strength in Unity”. Eager to earn the substantial business of these restaurants, many companies created a competitive environment, benefiting every member, regardless of size. The organization, initially based in New Jersey, expanded geographically and in sales volume, prompting the formation of chapters in New Jersey, Metro NYC, Upstate NY, New England, Maryland, and the Carolinas. Initially, our group consisted of Connecticut restaurants, but it has since expanded geographically to encompass all of New England. We will be showcasing PGNE at the New England Restaurant and Bar Show in Boston on February 4th and 5th 2024, (Boston Convention and Exhibit Center, 415 Summer St, Boston, MA 10:00 am – 5:00 pm), promoting our benefits and accepting new memberships.
Originally focused on Greek-owned restaurants, the group organically diversified to include all types of restaurants and nationalities. We have expanded our authorized distributors to cater to diners, fine dining establishments, delis, pizza restaurants, catering halls, fast-casual eateries, and convenience stores. Our benefits encompass national and regional broad line distributors, paper supply, credit card processing, social media management, utilities, beverage services, and commodity contracts. Over the years, we’ve observed a shift from in-dependent family-owned restaurants to corporate chains.
These chains negotiate with distributors and manufacturers to gain a competitive edge and boost profits. Our group offers the benefits of national contracts, rebates, and distribution, providing a level playing field against corporate competition. What sets PGNE apart from other buying groups is our practice of distributing all net profits back to the members. Our board of directors is volunteers, ensuring maxi-mum benefit levels for our membership. PGNE distributes approximately10 checks per year and, with over 290 members, disburses over $1,000,000annually.Please consider joining PGNE and enjoy the financial benefits we of-fer. There’s nothing to lose and much to gain. Sign up and save!
Pan Gregorian of New England,
works hard to offer our members both rebate incentive programs and low prices. We do this by negotiating contracts with distributors and manufacturers alike. Since Pan Gregorian Enterprises operates as a group operated by its own members, every member restaurant enjoys the same benefits that these programs provide.
