TAVERNA MYKONOS (238 Broadway, Elmwood Park, NJ; 2017039200) is the property of the Panteleakis family, which also owns Oceanos restaurant and Oyster Bar in Fair Lawn, NJ, and which serves casual taverna fare in a cheerful albeit boisterous atmosphere.
It is good Tuesday to Sunday (closed on Mondays) for a quick lunch or a protracted dinner, and it’s a befitting place with its inviting booths and elegant, subdued décor for celebrating birthdays, intimate affairs, corporate meetings, or glamorous galas. Done in subtle colors and lit just right for mood, Taverna Mykonos is a crowdpleaser not only in the way of its food but in service and ambience as well.
